I know, I know. This blog has been quiet. I traveled over the long weekend, and spent it hanging out with family, reading, and watching the Saints lose in dramatic fashion (while surrounded by Pats fans). So it was a mixed bag. Anyway, sorry for the lack of a real post today, but I’ve been playing catch up–finishing old projects, starting new ones, and getting my schedule in order.
In other words, I’m trying to keep busy and distract myself from the ridiculous shenanigans taking place over on Capitol Hill. What is it, less than 36 hours until we unleash the next global economic collapse and officially end the era of U.S. leadership in the world? Fun times.
So enjoy this fancy raccoon.

No, not dead yet. Just extremely busy. Submitting stories, scheduling interviews, writing up articles, reffing football games, watching other refs give the Texas Longhorns a victory, and prepping for a dinner party tomorrow night. Just one of those weeks. So no post today. Just a cute pic. Enjoy, and have a great weekend.
Sorry for not posting yesterday. I was too busy waiting to download iOS7. Oh, and I was going to meet my wife for lunch. The weather in DC recently has been great, and since I work from home, I am able to go run errands and such during the day. Sadly, I don’t go meet my wife as often as I should, so there we go. Deal with it.
Anyway, here’s the trailer for Zero Charisma. Check it out.
As someone who played D&D under a very bad DM (Dungeon Master), this movie hits a little close to home. I have a feeling I’ll be seeing this by myself, although Laura would learn a lot about my childhood by watching it. Maybe a little too much. Never mind. Laura can avoid this one. But I hope you won’t.
So I’m sure many of you had more significant things on your mind yesterday, but you may have noticed that I did not post anything. I just ran out of time. I was running around all day yesterday, trying to get assignments done and meet with new editors.
And the truth is, I am getting busier. And that’s good news–more work and more assignments mean more paychecks. But the bad news is that it is getting harder to post because time spent posting means time not working on assignments, spent looking for work, or writing and reading for fun.
So there may be more missing days in the future. I will try my best to post every day, but you never know. Hopefully, if I have some missing days, I can make up for it with some longer, more interesting posts. I think that should strike a good balance.
Please let me know what you think. Do you favor shorter, daily posts? Or would you favor more sporadic, longer posts? Or do you not care either way?
Long day today. I have a couple of editing assignments I need to work on, and I am applying for other writing jobs, and I’m setting up meetings for later in the week, and I’m getting ready for some football games later this week, and well…I’m getting worn down. And it’s only Monday.
Time for more coffee, because I’m starting to look like this:
(This is Redditor jimjigga’s dog after 12 hours of playing with dogs at doggy day care.)
Maybe I should try actually resting during the weekend. Oh well. Hopefully I can go to bed early tonight and be back to full strength tomorrow.
